kayla_darcy1990
Alright! So I need some ideas of how I can do this geocache proposal to my boyfriend. Please e-mail kayla_darcy1990@hotmail.com for your comments!!!! EEEkkk! Quote Link to comment
lamoracke
he's not a geocacher who would check the forums himself I take it and accidentally see this? You are trying to list a cache or do something with an existing cache to propose? Quote Link to comment
webscouter.
I took a quick look at your profile to see what type of caches you like to do. Since you don't have any finds or hides listed it changes my response a bit. First and foremost, you say you are thinking of hiding his ring in a cache beforehand. This is a bad idea as you don't know if you and your boyfriend will be the next person to find the cache. As honest as cachers are a wedding ring may disappear if found by someone else. I would suggest buying a ring from a vending toy machine, put that into the cache with a note on it. You can carry the real ring with you. Quote Link to comment
The Blorenges
Surely this proposal is a couple of days too late anyway? You might have to wait another 4 years... MrsB Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Wait, isn't HE supposed to propose to you? Quote Link to comment
releasethedogs
cute. I proposed to my wife with a geocache also. Quote Link to comment
The Blorenges
Wait, isn't HE supposed to propose to you? Maybe you don't have the same 'tradition' in the States, but over here 29th February is the one date when women are "allowed" to propose marriage. MrsB Quote Link to comment
Sapience Trek
Please don't put your ring in an existing geocache! You'd be better off hiding a new one, not listing it, and directing him from there. Even then you risk having somebody accidentally come across it, or having a critter drag it away depending on how big a box it is in. Quote Link to comment
Mushroom finder
I believe this has been done several times before. Here's a video that got some attention last summer. He tricked her into believing they were video documenting a FTF attempt. I think I read somewhere that he had to work with the reviewer on getting it published at a specific date and time. +ScoutDadNC
hvae a friend help you. find the cache that you are looking for, and then have your friend go out just before you and put the ring in the cache. Then have them wait out there and watch to make sure that no one takes it while you are right behind your friend with your guy about to find it. maybe that will be a good way to do it. +DragonsWest
See if you can get one of those people in a Signal suit to stand at your wedding. Quote Link to comment
DragonsWest
Put ring in rubber spider, pretent it's just published cache, say "Oh, eek, those things freak me out -- you get the cache out of it!" Great for a laugh to make it more memorable. Quote Link to comment
