+South Lyon Trekkers
Many cachers have trackables that have gone missing or have been picked up and not put back into circulation. It would be nice if Geocaching.com would help take up the issue of trackables that have been taken and have disappeared. Promote some sort of Trackable Amnesty Day, maybe even encourage events or locations, no questions asked. Ask cachers to clear out, give up, return to circulation trackables they have picked up and to get them going again. Quote Link to comment

+David&Robyn
log it in HERE and it will show up in your inventory, then after you place it go to the log and at the bottom you have the option to tag it as dropped off or visited. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment

Everyone I've sent out are now missing and I wish they would show up again. I don't think that it's cachers holding them need 'amnesty' to let them go. Many are muggled. More are taken and forgotten. Some are just mislogged of then lost. There are some that are 'stole.' I don't think a day like that would do much good. Quote Link to comment

Plus: People who only cache for a short period of time, then quit for whatever reason, but still have the trackables in their possession won't notice an "Amnesty Day". B. +misty_lynne
Just counted - have 29 trackables that have gone MIA and only another 8 that are still circulating. On the bright side, one of my favorite trackables released in (and subsequently gone missing) in 2008, just got dropped in a cache in January. May it have safe journeys! Also here's hoping your trackables are recovered. Edited February 26, 2012 by misty_lynne Quote Link to comment
