Cubby&BigBear
hey everybody...just wondering what patterns of caches there are in your areas? We've all seen the Alien head series and UFO patterns in Nevada, and way up here in my next of the woods are the Jim52 puzzles and the K57 patterns as well as this really cool Dog head series. (go to gc39g04 and zoom out) lets see what other cachers have come up with. i've heard there's a peace symbol somewhere. what else is there? Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Better off in the general forum, not really a getting started issue. Quote Link to comment
klipsch49er
I love the patterns! Been wanting to do something creative myself. Quote Link to comment

Totem Clan
There are some here that mark the start lines for the land runs. I'm making one that follows the Great Western Cattle trail. Do those count? The don't make a purddy picture but the have an intersesting 'pattern.' Quote Link to comment
Rustynails
We have one here called the BS series. A clever name I thought. No,it's not what your thinking. Quote Link to comment
AneMae
I got this email from another cacher about one of our local power trails: "Groundspeak didn't like this one. They thought it resembled an obscene gesture and have asked the CO to change it. It took me a while to figure it out, but they said it looked like a fist with the middle finger sticking out." Huhhh??? Quote Link to comment
Cubby&BigBear
those are cool!! keep em coming and include GC numbers or pictures if you can! AneMae, where is that trail located? Quote Link to comment

Cubby&BigBear
woah that jet is incredible!!! The bulk of it is all made up of trads and multi's too! so nice the use of different icons to draw the geoart! AneMae....nevermind...i found the london loop...do you know off hand how many caches are in that trail though? it's looks decent in size...good way to get the numbers up Quote Link to comment
MBQS
I happened to discover this while planning a trip: http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx?lat=29.749583&lng=-95.670417 Quote Link to comment

secretagentbill
Some of those are pretty cool. I like the jet. But the ones done solely with mystery caches aren't impressive, IMO. Quote Link to comment
Cubby&BigBear
i'm trying to figure out how the ones with all trads are done though....i'd be hard pressed to find spots to hide that many. With mysteries, you'd place the cache first...then the icon....but that's not possible with pics made from trads. that "texas" one threw me until i changed maps. Mapquest showed them as underwater!! Turns out is was a swampy area. Quote Link to comment
PokerLuck
Here's one dedicated to US Navy warships. There's no starting point, so I'll just list one of them. It produces a little GeoArt. Anchors Aweigh Edited February 29, 2012 by PokerLuck Quote Link to comment
