+goldpot
Greetings all, I have tried a number of times recently to update my UK Heat Map but to no avail. Are there any other cachers having problems uploading too, or is it just me! UK Heat Map Linky Quote Link to comment
+Malpas Wanderer
I used to use Heatmap. I now use something else that does complete statistics. Although I only use one map I believe there are quite a few options. View my profile to see typical output. Quote Link to comment

+Gushoneybun
I use a GSAK macro to produce a map, which is on my profile. Quote Link to comment
+Lydford Locators
We had to give up using the Heatmap as it wouldn't work for us, when I spoke to the owner it turns out that we had too many finds for it to cope with - think it was about 7000 finds. +We do checks and cache
We too hit the file size limit which is about 4MB. The site owner suggested running a waypoint only extract of our finds from GSAK which produces a much smaller file. We have done this successfully and the heat map is still on our profile. However at 8500 finds the file size is creeping towards the limit once again which we think will be hit at about 9200 finds. Quote Link to comment

I guessed it was File -> Export -> GPX/LOC file and then strip out all the options, but the output was well over 4Mb when I was about half way through exporting, so I aborted... What did you do to shrink it so much? TIA! Quote Link to comment
