+power69
Another nice GM script: Geocaching.com - Image map scale Nice touch, just adds the missing bit. Thanks is that script metric only or can you get miles and feet too? Quote Link to comment

+cadtenchy
Firefox solution: - Install Greasemonkey https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/ - Restart your browser. - Install this script http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/125949 Only works on firefox, but its google maps back on GS. MANY MANY thanks for this. The new maps just don't work for me, they are slower than evolution, and no arial in UK, certainly not one that loads in my lifetime anyway. The two links work brilliantly. +Kris32
Google Chrome has some limited native support for many types of greasemonkey scripts. I tested this script in Chrome and it doesn't work. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/125926 This one seems to work with Chrome. THANK YOU!!! Seems to work for me. Quote Link to comment
+jellis
When I first saw this thread I saw "work around" and thought it was going to be some high tech stuff that I would just shake my head at. So I didn't even bother to look at it. Now I did and saw what you are doing....YIPEE.. not only do I have Firefox but I have been using Greasemonkey scripts from Lil'devil for years. Seems Locus Prime is down. Darn glad Lil Devil's works. When I get home I'm going to put this one on. Thank you geo-jon. Forgot who did the script on the drop down menus. Wish GC would add those. So much easier to find things. Quote Link to comment
+Sol seaker
So when you load this work around, does it totally bypass the new maps? What I really am wondering... I really like the search function on the left side that we didn't have before. It also has a really great button on there for creating pocket queries that include just the caches shown on the map. Makes it really nice and easy. So does the fix make that go away? Quote Link to comment
redfish907
Grrrrr, I really wanted to make some edits on the Chrome-compatible version of the plugin, but alas it is one of those plugins where the other has compressed it down to one single really gigantic, never ending line of javascript. Tried js beautifier but not even they could decipher it, LOL. Formated beautifully in Text Wrangler... I know your original post was a few days ago, but figure you might still be interested in messing around with the userscript. Quote Link to comment

All the other maps are available for selection along with Google topo and Google sat with hybrid. Quote Link to comment

+MrCJDL
This. Is. Awesome ! Any way to get it to display Ordnance Survey maps, for those of us in U.K ? I have a separate Greasemonkey script that does that already, but onto for the small tiles on the cache - it'd be awesome if it could work with the main GC map function !! Cheers, Chris. I'm pretty rural and it's nice to have satellite imagery over all to let me know where in relation to marshlands, timber cuts, not to mention being able to see dirt roads... Quote Link to comment

+jellis
I got mine up a few weeks ago. At first I didn't notice the difference. Boy is it great to be able to zoom in on Satellite and still see detail instead of a blank screenshot. I love all the other options too. Thank you, your a lifesaver. Now if we can get something to fix the app maps. Quote Link to comment
+geo-jon
Youre all welcome. I have no claim to the workaround other than seeing it posted on a local forum.... but it works and works very well. Geo-Jon Quote Link to comment

About 1/3 of the way down the page are a series of tabs. I think you might be looking at the "Source Code" tab. Try clicking on the "About" tab. You should see the install option here. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment

Futuo
And for all the United Kingdom users.... a super detailed ordnance survey map can be added too. Just add the following script, greasemonkey adds the new maps for you too. Click http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/109145to add. Superb detail on those maps. Geo-Jon I keep on getting warnings with this. And still have no Google maps or OS maps Quote Link to comment
