+jozin.cz
It would be really great if there was "Last Found: XX/YY/ZZZZ" date in the cache bubble on the map, so we don't need to enter every listing when we hurry up to depart for caching Edited February 15, 2012 by jozin.cz Quote Link to comment

If so many people use the maps for almost all of their planning, it is not surprising that the number of views of Google maps is so dramatically high such that it causes major problems with Google's new business model. Cezanne The maps are much more useful to me when planning trips than the lists. I want to see where the cache is located relative to roads and the area terrain. The lists don't give me nearly as good of a view. Displaying the last found date on the pop-up would be very helpful. (I actually have another post on here suggesting the same thing.) Not having to click through would also save Google Maps hits since there wouldn't be an additional hit for every cache page. Quote Link to comment

It would be meaningful anyway to remove the default Google map displayed on any cache page anyway and replace it by a map shown on demand. Many, many views to cache pages are not to view the map, but just some logs, the cache description etc. Dynamic maps do not create a single hit, but several ones. I think that what people who want to do excessive planning with maps should use a tool like GSAK, download PQ data and then display these data on the maps they call personally. This way they will not exceed the Google limits and Groundspeak will not exceed them either. Cezanne Edited February 16, 2012 by cezanne Quote Link to comment

All we're asking is to include another data value on the pop-up window along with the half-dozen other values already displayed. I'd prefer not to use another app to do my planning. For this purpose, the existing Geocaching feature is more convenient than GSAK. Frankly, the map API limits are a separate issue from what we're requesting. Quote Link to comment

The images in your original post are broken and you dug up a 10 year old thread, so it's a bit difficult to piece together what the original ask was. That said, I'm pretty confident that what you asked for was added to the new Search Map - see screenshot below. The old Browse Map is being kept around for now based on requests from the community but won't be subject to feature improvements. 1 Quote Link to comment
+jozin.cz
Yeah, I'm one of those old school rebels that likes the old map much better, @Bl4ckH4wkGER. The pic is still working for me at: http://jozin.cz/_gc/_forum/last_found_in_map_bubble.png Also attached here. Never mind, this out of date topic then.
