+jistar00
I recently found a cache that has been archived. However, right after I found it, my gps died and I don't know the cache id number. Can anyone provide some helpful info on how I can go about finding and logging this cache? Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
Do you have the coordinates? If so, a reviewer could help you find the GC Code. Quote Link to comment
+chuck4564
If you know the Cache Owner you could got to their profile, search down the list of their hides, and pick it from the list. Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
If you remember any of the names on the log, you can look back through their finds and try to track it down. A few years ago, I was completing a multi near a ruined castle in Germany. Found the final, signed and logged, and then started poking around the ruins. I saw a suspicious pile of rocks by a tree, and it turned out to be the final for another multi that had been archived -- someone took the cache container. Well, apparently they put it back two years later. I looked through the logbook, noted down some of the finders and the dates they logged it, and tracked it down. The owner ended up being able to unarchive it, though he had to move it due to the proximity of the newer cache. (Ironically, the newer cache is now archived, and the older cache is still going strong.) Quote Link to comment
