+gustafer
I am having trouble with using Japanese for logs. The Japanese input becomes unintelligible code, a phenomenon commonly known as mojibake. In case others are also facing this problem, Japanese geocaching sites have provided a solution for this (HTML entity encode). Thanks for this handy tool! I wonder, though, if the problem is caused by this site's character set configuration. I'm no expert in website administration, but when I have set up Wordpress and Drupal sites for my own personal use, I have always had to change the database's setting to UTF-8 so as to enable both English and Japanese input. Same as Korean input. As far as I know, all the Asian character has same problem. Quote Link to comment
