Adding Swag

I'm a noob here and to geocaching so go easy on me!

 

What is the generally accepted policy on leaving swag at a cache that has none? For instance, a small or micro cache that contains no swag, but you have some that will fit. Is this good or bad karma? Will I be offending the CO by altering the cache?

If the CO specifically asked people not to leave swag then I wouldn't. Otherwise, if the swag fits I'll leave something. I carry a small sig item that will even fit into some micro cache containers (e.g. prescription pill bottles).

Micro's? No. Most cachers don't expect swag in them, and it gets annoying when it falls out because you don't expect anything other than the log and maybe a pencil to be in there.

 

Other size caches I'll leave something if I like the cache and/or the area it's in.

I think if it fits and no one stated it's not a cache for swag, then go ahead

 

Seems to me some caches aren't really expected to have swag, but it would be a nice surprise to find something (even I don't end up taking anything)

By all means, if you have some swag that doesn't make it hard to open or close a micro, leave some.
