+WalruZ
it would certainly be nice if that were expandable, like the watch list link. I have a vaguely related suggestion for a perhaps premium feature. I often see or hear about caches I would like to visit, and the only way I have to bookmark them is to watch them - which results in emails. I would like a bookmark feature very similar to the watch feature. I would use it for caches I plan to visit in the future. yeah, I know. a project manager works from sun to sun, but a programmers work is never done. Link to comment
+Dave_W6DPS
It would be nice it were like logs--show the last ten by default, with an option to "show all".... Dave_W6DPS My two cents worth, refunds available on request. (US funds only) Link to comment
+GeoROCKS!
I only have 61 on mine, and even THAT's a pain. Yes, let's limit it to a certain number, or just default to ones currently in your possession... Link to comment

Agreed. And preferably moved to the bottom of the page. This hobby is primarily about hidden and found geocaches, and secondarily about travel bug, benchmarks and such (and locationess caches, if you ask me. Oh wait, you didn't. ) - I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory. - Link to comment
+ShaneN4Girls
While we are at this, can we do away with images in the name of the bug? +Touchstone
It looks like you have a real problem Marky! You need to lay off the TB's for awhile I think they should just relegate the TB's like the Watch List (as a seperate link), or limit the list to the last ten or something. It's not like I have to refer to that list very often. Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. The rest go geocaching. Gert
For me it would be enough if the paragraph about 'premium member services' were gone. (How often am I supposed to read that?) I mainly use my cache page to access my own cache pages. Before I became a charter member a click on "my cache page" was enough, now I need to scroll down to get the list. BTW: how long will the PQs be "still in beta"? cheers, Gert Short cuts make long delays. Link to comment

Sometimes we're not able to help a particular TB towards it's goal, or we meet up with a bug at an event but someone else wants to move the bug. Generally, those are the cases where we just say hi to the bug and part ways. I wasn't asked for your pity, just highlighting a problem that many people have. Now that I know better I'm going have to start logging all those TB's that I leave behind when I'm not in a position to advance it on its mission. I wish I knew this sooner! So what's the proper logging ettiquette when logging a bug that you don't take? "Met TB, shook its hand and left it behind", or "Visited TB", or just simply, "SBLB" (Saw Bug Left Bug)? ____________ Gorak I love frogs. They taste like chicken. Yum. Link to comment
+WalruZ
More than once I've seen Marky cache through areas near to me, seeding caches with TBs so that other cachers can find them and move them around. Were it not for his frighteningly obsessive (they've found the gene for that, btw) pursuit of this game/hobby/pasttime, the SJ/SF bay area would be very much the poorer. The easiest thing to do when seeing a bug in a cache be not able to move it along is to just leave a note on the bug page instead of grabbing it. That way you don't need to grab it and drop it back in the cache (which has the potential to cause problems). --Marky ...Be nice to your fellow geocachers, they might be Hemlock... Link to comment
+nostrada
I do not have that many travel bugs but got so tired of all these non essential messages about Premium Services and what a Watchlist is and what not else. I am using Proxomitron (Win only) to strip out all the stuff and present the page the way I want it to look. My TBs, search for zip code, filtered search for zip code, FIND from for waypoint and name and my caches. That is it, nothing else. Clean layout, all thanks to spending some time trying things out with Proxo. Of course, once the page gets totally overhauled I will have to revisit this and adjust Proxo - or - hopefully - can do away with it for this page all together. My 3 cents. _____________________________ ... where is it? Link to comment
+Marky
Nostrada, I've never heard of Proxomitron before. What is it's basic function? Just to reformat certain pages? --Marky ...Be nice to your fellow geocachers, they might be Hemlock... Link to comment
+nostrada
Marky, it is a proxy server you run on your Win machine and direct your browser to go through it. It then allows you to set up rules to intercept the incoming HTML traffic and customize the data to your liking. I can for example strip ads out of the traffic, prevent pop up, freeze GIF files, prevent Java script from doing things and more. One example is that I change the way the My Cache Page is presented and I removed the table with the found travel bugs all together. I also added a search function to the page, just by inserting the correct form element in the HTML of the page. One starting point would be http://www.proxomitron.info/. The product is free and not officially supported. I use it also to streamline the my.yahoo.com startpage and remove all the crap I am not interested in, just leaving the stocks, URL and news I want. I cam mail you a screenshot of my page, if you want. Anyway, it is a nice tool but it takes some time to get the configuration sorted out if you want to customize it. _____________________________ ... where is it? Link to comment
