+cmarion1979
I have been on many trips since I started geocaching and had the idea for a Journal Coin. This would be a coin that only the cacher that owns it would carry from cache to cache. Since trackables can only start their miles and stories in caches that are visited, their journeys don't exactly start or end at home. A Journal Coin would be able to be activated with your home coordinates and track from your home, to caches, then back to your home, enabling them to rack up total miles traveled. In essence all of your travels and memorable caching/vacationg moments would be available for you to view in one spot rather than across many many individual logs. You would still log individual cache finds, but when you click visited next to your coin it will allow you to make a log for the Journal Coin. Perhaps the front of the coin can have a picture of a notebook and a pencil and the back will have a trackable number and say something along the lines of geocaching travels. What do you think? AZcachemeister
You could already do this with any coin or TB you wanted to. All you need is a cache at your house as the 'home base'. The cache would not need to be active or even published to make it work the way you describe. AZcachemeister's Arizona State Geocoin Quote Link to comment
+CatchyCacherton
Yep, you can do this with any TB/tag/coin you like. I keep my personal coin in with my caching gear and although I have a cache at my home location, I don't bother to log it home between caching runs (that's just how I play, though). shak3zula's Own Private Idaho Edited January 8, 2012 by shak3zula Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I am moving this thread from the Geocaching Topics forum to the Geocoin Discussions forum. Quote Link to comment
+Droo
A notebook coin has been made, albeit many years ago.... the TNLNSL coin came in the shape of a small spiral pad. Be that as it may you can still do your own mileage tracker using any coin you want. Quote Link to comment
