New feature, or is it there??

My wife & I are relatively new to geocaching, but enjoy the hunt and discovery of the traditional caches, and the orginality of the contents of some of them.

On the other hand, we have been thoroughly disappointed and discouraged by the microcaches. Many in our area are hidden very near commercial establishments, where a discreet search is nearly impossible. Many people like these, and that's OK - we just don't.

Is it (or would it be) possible to exclude microcaches from the search on "My Cache"? How about as a "premium service"?

Thanks,

as a charter member you can have up to 5 queries, each filtered how you want it. Pick and choose what type caches you want to show up, avoid other types you dont want on your list.

You will find the link to pocket queries on your 'my cache page' - first paragraph under the heading 'Premium Member Services'

Thanks. I checked out the Pocket Queries. I see that they will be very useful!

But, from what I can see, micro caches & regular caches are lumped under the general category of "Traditional Caches". There is no selection based on size.

If I've overlooked a feature that exists, please let me know. I'm still relatively new to this.

If not, I think it would be a valuable feature to add to the Pocket Query.

Thanks for all of your help. The referenced FAQ was also very enlightening.

Best to everyone.

In my Watcher settings, I have Virtual caches, Webcam caches, and Locationless caches filtered out of the cache types, and I have Micro and Virtual filtered out of the containers (i.e. sizes). When I'm looking at my Pocket Query GPX files, I only see the kinds of caches I really like. Of course, I also have a minimum terrain rating filter enabled... I'm me, after all. icon_wink.gif
