+Cacher_Penguin
Hi, I have also posted this in the carboot sale section, but appears no one used it in a little while. I have received a gtrex H for christmas, and would like to beable to connect it to my netbook to transfer coordinates rather than doing it manually. If anyone has one they no longer need/require, would i be able to purchase/have it from you as i cant afford full price from garmin Roz Quote Link to comment

+TonyNChelle
Snap! I got one for Xmas too. The missus had purchased one of the Garmin GPSr>Serial leads, but unfortunately I don't have a serial port on any of my PCs. Couple of quid for an adapter from the local nerdbox later I rekon! +MartyBartfast
If you're any good with a soldering iron you can make a Garmin serial connector to go on the end of a regular serial cable, there are several pages on the web showing you how to do it, use that in conjunction with a USB-Serial converter and you're done, should be able to do it all for under a fiver.
