+Kouros
I read in The Guardian (a UK newspaper) the other day about games that are played on Mobile Phones where you have to track down other players, and fire "missiles" at them from your phone. Apparently the phone knows where you are, like a GPS unit, and warns you (when you are playing a game) when you are near another player. I was wondering whether or not a similar thing could be done for Geocaching? An SMS message that tells players that they're near (say, within a mile) of a cache, and include the Waypoint, and the co-ords, so you'd still have to use your GPS. Would that be a feasible idea? Would it be a premium service for just those who pay their subscription fee? I don't know... What do you guys think? ------ O God, I could be bounded in a nutshell, and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams. Hamlet, II.2 252-253 Link to comment
