+Huntleigh
I have a watch on a cache and I got a email message of a found log yesterday. But when I went to the log all I could read was: "User logged something" The text of the log (in the watch email) was "Why do people buy and use GPS's for geocaching?? I have never used one, and have never need to, why waste your money!!! hahaha use a map and ur brain!!" Does this mean the CO has deleted the log? Quote Link to comment
+Ambient_Skater
Yes, it means the CO has deleted the log. Since you saw the contents of the log in the watch email, I'm sure you can see why. Quote Link to comment

The finder has now resubmitted with a slightly less obnoxious tone. I do note that he has posted finds some 1000 kms apart on the same day as well (one in Otago and several in Auckland). +Isonzo Karst
Does this mean the CO has deleted the log? I agree that the high probability is that the CO deleted the log, but the log owner can also delete their own log, and you'd see the same thing. (Site admins can as well, but that seems highly unlikely in this case). The log owner gets a log deletion notice if someone else deletes their log. Quote Link to comment
+popokiiti
We heard of someone recently who has found many, many caches without GPS. He doesn't have the obnoxious tone....just uses map, compass and brain. Quote Link to comment
