+Bill D (wwh)
Does anyone know why the numbers of the newest caches listed on the home page aren't consecutive? Bill Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
It is very common for the newest caches to be out of sequential order. For example, what if four numbers are missing because caches are being "held" for release to be timed with a nearby event cache, as I am doing right now? Or, what if three numbers are skipped because "the Dam Spillway Cache", the "Dodge the Passenger Train Cache", and the "Fun and Games at the Power Plant Cache" all got archived? Or, because caches are approved regionally, maybe there are skipped numbers for caches to be looked at later by an approver who is out of town today, whereas another approver cleaned out his list. And so forth. x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x .sdrawkcab dootsrednu tub sdrawrof devil si efiL Link to comment
+Bill D (wwh)
Thanks for the answer, Leprechauns! If I'd thought it through I should have realised. I was thinking in terms of numbers allocated as caches appear, but of course the numbers are allocated when caches are submitted. Duh! Bill Link to comment
