To log this cache you will need some sort of detector like the camera in a smartphone and some sort of IR irradiator. But there might be other ways to detect the invisible writing. The cause is that there is normally a filter in front of the CCD. Of 4 different digital cameras tested non of these could se anything more than the 5 W IR-lamp when the lamp was held in front of the camera and pointing directly into the lens.
