The Summit HC comes with a manual, quick start guide, USB cable & rail mount adapter (image 1). 2.) The Vista HCx comes with a manual, USB cable, 2 GB microSD card and rail mount adapter. (image 2) The Summit is in pristine condition, while the Vista shows some slight signs of use. The rubber around the Vista is starting to let go on the top (but it's not bad yet - see image 3). Now compare the feature set of the Legend to the Vista and to the Summit. You will note that each device has different features (notably the electronic compass and the barometric altimeter). Granted these features may not matter to you, but other people may want them. Hence the price difference in the units.
