+pixeltash
I have seen these in some caches, so they must be avalible somewhere, but I have drawn a blank at all the usual stationary places - can anyone help? I have found them here http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/326372378/Promotional_plastic_ball_pen.html but oddly enough I dont want to order 500 of them Quote Link to comment
+matt1988
May sound silly, but you could try a certain £1 store or many 99p stores. Just something you would normally pick up from those shops lol Quote Link to comment
+Croesgadwr
Amazon have got what they call "True Utility TU46 Telescopic" pens at £4 each... might be worth having a look. Quote Link to comment
+pixeltash
Thanks for the ideas - no luck on eBay or £ shops :-( also looked in staples, whsmiths etc just for clarity, the ones I am looking for have a loop of chain attatched to the lid, like the chains on a TB, it's for hanging from the GPS laynard. I have tried the ring attached type and they sit awkwardly on the laynard. off to look at amazon :-) Edited December 14, 2011 by pixeltash Quote Link to comment
+Lieblweb
Have you thought about the INKA pen (made by Nite Ize)? It's a really neat pen and writes under water (so they advertise). They're expensive, but well worth it for geocaching. The 'stainless' version is the cheaper one. I have two of them. One is attached (via ring) to the GPS and another is on my keyring. We only use the short pen part. The only problem with these things - if you don't snap the pen back in place securely, you'll lose the pen. We've lost 2 of them. So we're very careful to snap it back in place. The 'pen' portion is not available for purchase as a spare part (believe me, I've contacted the company and searched). Quote Link to comment
+MartyBartfast
I have tried the ring attached type and they sit awkwardly on the laynard. Take a ring attached type, remove the ring, replace it with a loop of cord, job done. Quote Link to comment
WashoeZephyr
Not sure if you have these in the UK, I love these pens and have had the same one on my lanyard for over a year! They have a hole in the cap, either a small keyring or string will fit through them. ..and they are relatively cheap, I think they were about $6 for all of them Edited December 14, 2011 by LostinReno Quote Link to comment
+*mouse*
These ones are handy and very cheap and I see lots of cachers with them. If you want to its easy to swap the carabiner for a mobile phone loop which are only a few pence in hobbycraft. Poundland pens Or mini sharpies are easy to attach to a gps with a mobile phone cord too as there is a clip off cap. Mini Sharpie Quote Link to comment
