Leaving Items in Cache's

Hey there fellow GeoCachers... just wondering if there is any rule about leaving my business cards in the Cache's or is this against the rules???

What should not be placed in a cache?

People of all ages hide and seek geocaches, so think carefully before placing an item into a cache. Explosives, ammunition, knives, drugs and alcohol should not be placed in a cache. Respect local laws at all times.

 

Please do not put food or heavily scented items in a cache. Animals have better noses than humans, and in some cases caches have been chewed through and destroyed because of food items in a cache.

 

Generally you can leave anything as long as it isn't going to harm anyone.

Isn't there something in the rules about no commercial material in caches? I'm not a fan of seeing business cards. And they're likely to get soggy pretty quick.

There is a Guideline that there must not be any commercial content on the cache page description, but there's nothing that says you can't put commercial information or business cards in the cache box. However, many cachers (including me) dislike finding such items in caches.

Would an empty casing be considered ammunition? It doesn't have any primer or gun powder, and there is no bullet on top. Empty casings are the perfect size to fit a little rolled up note in.
