I don't need another set but for you cachers who put out alot of caches or for those who had their better half claim their set ...well you know what to do. Quote
+CanadianRockies Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I didn't realize they had ever gone. Or maybe I don't understand something here. Quote
+jellis Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I didn't realize they had ever gone. Or maybe I don't understand something here. Woot is a website. He didn't capitalize it. Quote
+larryc43230 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I didn't realize they had ever gone. Or maybe I don't understand something here. As far as I can tell, the sale items on Woot seldom last very long. In other words, you can't expect to revisit the Web site three days later and find the same deals. --Larry Quote
+badger10 Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Sorry about that. I should have listed the web site. www.woot.com. Yes, on Woot these deals do not last long. When I bought mine they sold out in less than 6 hours. Quote
+holazola Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I just bought a set. 32 pc (16 containers) $19.99 +$5 ship = about $1.50 a cache for the real deal! http://www.woot.com/ Gotta Be quick though..... Quote

By design, Woot! is one item per day. Unless it's a Woot! off, but that's a whole 'nother ball of wax. (Yeah. Woot! is just about as addictive as a few other things I could thing of...) Quote
+TheLoneGrangers Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 its a great deal, i got the set they had up a couple weeks ago Quote
+Thunder496+R&T Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 My local Wally World has a 16 pc (8 containers) Mainstays brand lock & lock type containers for $7.97+ tax. About $1.08 each. Quote

+Isonzo Karst Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 the clearance section of lockandlockplace will often beat these prices (go hunt a coupon too). I got 40 small lock and locks for $ 16.39 delivered recently. At 0.315 each, I should have gotten 100..... Quote

If they ain't Lock n Lock brand they ain't Lock n Locks. I've tried many other Lock N Lock type containers and none com close to real Lock n Locks. Quote

A knock-off is a knock-off is a knock-off, which usually equates to a rip-off. Wally World wants your money, they don't want to make you happy with what you bought ('cuz it ain't their problem, donchaknow). Quote

The WalMarts around here stopped carrying real Lock n Locks a couple years ago. Now they sell Sterlite and Rubbermaid versions which aren't very good. I bought a few Faberware locking containers recently and their locking mechanism is almost identical to Lock n Lock's. I haven't set any in the wild yet though so I have no idea how they'll hold up. +Flintstone5611 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Up here in the northern tundra our Wallys have plenty of the original L'n'L. I can go in any time and grab some. They are a little more expensive than most of the other plasticware, but arguably the best longevity in a plastic container!! Quote

I think it's modern merchandising. One company bribes the store to carry its brand only. Rubbermaid has convinced the store to carry only its brand, and not Lock and Lock. I can't find them anywhere. So I buy from Groundspeak. Smimilar thought. I cannot find Kraft Mayonnaise anymore. Local stores only carry Hellman's or Store Brand. Unfortunately. Rubbermaid just is not as good a quality. Quote
