+the*B*team
I'm only notified of a new cache when I recieve Groundspeak's newsletter in my email once a week. I read how other cachers get a 'ding' as notification when a new cache is published. Where does that 'ding' come from? I use neongeo (which not all cache's show up), does the ding come from Groundspeak's official app? I know its a dumb question, but I honestly can't figure it out! Quote Link to comment
+BigChiefS4
Are you a premium member? If so, you can setup notifications so you get emailed when a new cache is published (there are other triggers as well). Go here for more info: Notifications. If you're not a premium member, you can't do it. Quote Link to comment

+StarBrand
Be aware that you will still need to visit the listing or use a mobile app to see the coordinates and details of the new cache listing. Quote Link to comment

As other's have said, it's just an email. And if you have a Smartphone, it surely can receive email. It's moderately difficult (but not too hard) to convert this to a text message as well. And as mentioned by Starbrand, you have to visit the listing to see the coordinates. Quote Link to comment
