+Desert Warrior
Now that Garmin have introduced a "Geocache" (a treasure chest) and "Geocache Found" (treasure chest with open lid)) symbol it would be helpful if when downloading caches from the web site to the GPS the "Geocache" symbol was the default rather than the square representing a waypoint. +Olar
This method from BruceS: I have found a fairly quick way to do this. Open loc file with EasyGPS and save as GPX file. Then open the GPX file with notepad or any other text editor. Pick Edit->Replace. In Find what box enter Waypoint and in Replace with enter Geocache Then click replace all. Then reopen GPX file with EasyGPS and all icons will be changed. +pearson
These icons are not (yet) supported on my etrex basic (yellow). Until they are, I'd want the boring old waypoint as the default. Link to comment
+Desert Warrior
Not a problem. the default for an unsupported icon is the wee black square. Link to comment
