Garmin Montana data fields

I was under the impression data field layouts were independent across the various profiles. Specifically the Trip Computer pages. It seems if I range a field on the trip computer in one profile it does the same to all the other profiles. Is this right?

Yes,now they are the same in all profiles..

I don't think that this is a proper way to organize Trip computer

That's such a shame. I don't use the trip computer as such but more of an overflow of parameters I would like to see that won't fit on the compass or map displays. The requirements are quite different for say a walk using a fitness profile and a drive with the auto profile. I thought that was the whole idea of profiles. The ability to make them individual.

You Can make more than one datascreens and use a different screen in another profile.

Yes I thought of that, at least they have added extra pages now on the trip screen. However the page isn't sticky. In other words if you had page three of the trip computer setup for auto profile then each time you go between map and trip, the trip page goes at page 1 again. that means you need to the scroll to page 3 as it doesn't remember it was at page 3. Hence it would be a more elegant solution to allow fields to be customised on a profile basis.
