+Prime Suspect
This has been coming up about once a week. Maybe we should get "watch list" added to the geocaching.com glossary. Link to comment

+CYBret
I just noticed that there are no watchers listed for THE WITCH'S GRAVE II, a virtual I placed earlier this week. It was my uderstanding that if you placed a cache you were automatically the first watcher. Is this not the case any longer? Do I need to add myself to the watch list in order to get emails when people find this one? Bret "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again." Team Dragon
The cache owner is the first watcher. The number of watchers represents accounts, other than the owner, that are watching the cache. When I first started, I thought the same way so I added myself as a watcher and got double copies of the alert e-mails. Link to comment
+CYBret
I went back and found another thread that asked this question . . . and had the answer. I had intended to quietly delete my post here, but since Team Dragon already responded, I'll leave it. . . thanks "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.
