SUBMITTED (27747) - [FEATURE] Add numbering and listing of cache names to beta map

There is a "Cache List" that slides out from the right in Maps Beta. I never see it populated with caches.

Is this a feature that isn't available yet? If not, what do I need to do?

Please tell me there will be a way to number the caches like in the old maps!

you can't do anything because its been broken for a very long time now

 

we are all eagerly waiting for it to be fixed, but i don't think anyone is holding their breath

Thanx. Sorry about that. I wasn't sure whether it was a bug or not. A search on "Maps Beta" didn't bring up much.

The panel that you see there now is populated when you have a Pocket Query selected.

 

The request to add a list of all displayed caches and numbering like the old map did has been a request ever since the beta map first came out, but there are some technical difficulties. The devs are continuing to explore reasonable avenues for implementing the request.

We used to be able to display the results of a pocket query on the old map and no other goecaches displayed. Now, with the beta map, EVERY Cache shows and there is NO WAY to filter out the noise and see only what you want. This renders the map useless for this purpose. PLEASE make an option to hide the noise and display ONLY the results of the PQ.

One feature I liked on the original map was being able to number the caches and see the numbered list.

 

Will this feature be available on the new beta version?

There is already plenty of detail on the maps. I'd like to be able to turn off any bells and whistles that obscure relevant data.

OK, it's been about six months since your "...some technical difficulties" reply.

 

...and more than a year since you introduced the "new" maps.

 

When will at least the numbering system for PQs return or will it never return?

To overcome those technical difficulties, perhaps it's time for the devs to explore unreasonable avenues for implementing the request.
