My question is, can I display the copy tag in the museum for visitors to discover while the released TB goes on its mission? Or is this not accepted by the guidelines? Thanks in advance for your help. You could, but it isn't advisable. You see, the copy tag is to use as a replacement should the TB go missing. Sometimes the "missing" reappears, at which time you call in (or simply cancel out the second released traveler). You simply cannot have two out there with the same number. In essence what you would be doing is setting out two TB's utilizing the same number. That is not allowed by the guidelines. Those who do multiples stand a real chance of having Groundspeak lock the tag #. Which equates to you losing it altogether. Quote Link to comment
