Hayley Jane
I just got the Magellan eXplorist GC and am really getting into geocaching. We have considered hiding our own geocache but I don't know how to find the coordinates of my current (or any specific) location with this device. If someone could help me out that would be great! I checked the manual for the eXplorist but couldn't find anything... Quote Link to comment
+Merewyn1066
From your main menu go to Waypoints. Hit your Menu button, Add Waypoint. That brings you to a 4 item menu, the 3rd item is Coordinates. That will give you the option to input your coordinates or it will default to the device's current location. That'll tell you where you are! I highly recommend you make sure you are running the latest version of the software. Mine was shipped with version 1.4, current is 1.7 and the older versions are buggy. Instructions and the download are on the Magellan website. It takes about 10 minutes. Happy hunting! +popokiiti
Hi, and welcome! From the screen that appears when you turn on the unit, select waypoints (the flag) then hit the menu key. Scroll down to add waypoint and select, then select current location. That's the way I did it recently... Quote Link to comment
