+Forest-Ghost Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Groundspeak is currently working to get the app back up. I'm not sure when it will be live again though. 1 Quote
+Forest-Ghost Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Apparently they are working on updating the app! Very exciting news: Quote
+CWillyPngn Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 That's very exciting news! The app sorely needed an update! Quote
+mustakorppi Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Any update on the progress? The app is still unlisted and it’s been over 3 weeks instead of the one week you expected. Quote

Excuse me, but there are still Android, and even some handheld GPSr players here. Just because your OS isn't working at the moment doesn't mean all goes bye-bye... Quote

There’s a difference between selfishness and frustration after years of requests for support falling on deaf ears. But in this thread I’d rather hear about the future of the official Groundspeak iPhone Wherigo app. 1 1 1 Quote

+JAKKTeam Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 I can’t seem to find this in the iTunes Store anymore? I have it still on my phone but still a bit alarming. Any ideas what is up? Quote
+JAKKTeam Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Sorry I searched before posting but it appears there is info I missed. Quote

These are not mutually exclusive. Surely all the links on this page to the announcement by Geocaching HQ, which is still at the top of the Announcements subforum, answer any question about whether or not there is an official Wherigo app for iPhone. The history is briefly described by Rangerfox on the previous page of this thread. Quote
+Forest-Ghost Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 (edited) They updated the IOS player! You can now download cartridges directly to your device!!! Edited January 6, 2021 by Forest-Ghost 1 Quote
+bflentje Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 This is awesome. I hope it's a sign that Groundspeak will start taking the idea of Wherigo seriously again. Quote
+Corp Of Discovery Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 I've added the new app to my phone- is there a way to copy over the cartridges from the old one? Quote

One other thing- it seems I've loaded cartridges of different types (Colorado, Oregon, Pocket PC). They've all worked from what I remember but is there one that's specifically recommended for use on iPhones? Quote

But there only will be a noticeable difference if these cartridges contain sounds. Quote
