Crule Cache find

How crule can an area be to find a Cache, say can it be in the bottom of a pond only thinking a foot deep, but it will be obvious its there, I was thinking sting attached with a flowt, but a large cache tied to it under a pond. Something alike.

I have had caches that were right in front of my face almost have me in tears because I searched for hours without finidng it. Then suddenly I see it.

That doesn't sound so bad. One i went for a few months back is a a Green micro hidden somewhere in a thick patch of bamboo. There is just enough room between bamboo stalks to squeeze yourself through. Needless to say i didn't find it. Its was called Green Hell witch suited it quite well.

How about under 20+ ft of water? No float attached. Any better?

 

Drop the float, it would attract attention of muggles, and the cache would disappear.

That is not cruel. Cruel is in a tree that angles over gator infested swamp water and the cache is 15' above the water and 35' from shore.

Don't use string as it wouldn't last very long. A chain would be best. Or cable.

Well you see I didnt want to say to much, as I dont want the people finding this to already know about it, but there wont be many muggles that come to this place, at all, So can anybody tell me where I can get a hold of some gators then. LOL. So what about having it stuffed in mud, or what other gruesem things can people have to feel throught to get to a cache.

 

My Idea with a flowt is it, I actualy have one key ring type thing, its for fishing, It glows in the dark, but in the day you wouldnt realy notice it, so there for a night cache, but this flowt would be measure to be about a foot under water, and the cache be, whatever deepness the pond is.

At the time of this picture, the water level was 10' above normal.

There's a 14' gator who calls this stretch home.

To the OP, that isnt cruel. I see some really mean one out there. We got two here that is in the middle of a wetland with nothing but tall grass all around!! I DNF one of them after stumping down all the grass down.

Nothing is really cruel as such, as long as cachers know what they are getting themselves in for in advance

 

This is why we have difficulty ratings and attributes, the masochists who want something that is a proper challenge to find can pick those rated 'difficulty 5', the people who want a challenge for a trip pick the 'terrain 5' caches, those who like climbing or paddling can pick those with the appropriate attributes and so on...

 

So sure, place one in the middle of a pond, just don't expect me to want to head out knowing I will need to go wading for it

Yes they do. I completed a 5/5 D/T liar's cache that should be no more than a 2/2 at best. I had fun with the bogus log I posted, but I did sign the log.

Yeah, ditto for me. I hate those teensy, weensy, nano NIAH caches just as you described. No fun once found (if found).

Funny to me that the OP suggests a cache like this. I was thinking of doing the exact same thing.....only I'd use fishing line to attach the cache to. Don't want muggles seeing it.

A cache owner can still request that you post a bogus log. But if they insist on it, then it is an ALR. (key word is 'requirement'. The 'R' doesn't stand for 'request')
