+DustyJacket Posted May 31, 2003 Share Posted May 31, 2003 Your "my cache page" or your "public profile" which links to your finds? The "my cache" page does not have a URL specific to you. It uses a cookie on your computer to decide which "page" to display. You can't e-mail that page to your friends and have them see it. Your public profile DOES have a URL specific to you, but I believe the person viewing it has to be logged into geocaching.com to see it. DustyJacket Not all those that wander are lost. If you want to see a link to your cache page for YOU to see, you can bookmark the following: http://www.geocaching.com/my (you'll need the cookies enabled when you sign in). No one else can see THAT page directly on their computer unless they are signed in as you. There is a Public Profile that you can link to. You can see it by going to the page linked above and in the upper righthand corner clicking on the "View Profile as Others See You". Each cacher has a unique ID assigned to them. That number is changed on the URL for each cacher's profile. For me, I'm userID=5518 and my public profile is... http://www.geocaching.com/profile/default.asp?A=5518 Jeremy is user=3 and his public profile is http://www.geocaching.com/profile/default.asp?A=3 You're user=82070, and therefore http://www.geocaching.com/profile/default.asp?A=82070 Make more sense?
