+wimseyguy
Setting out early in the morning when most people are still asleep and wondering what interesting things I will see and do today because I followed my GPS there. For example, I visited the original grave site of Robert E Lee's daughter yesterday; never knew it was in NC until I planned a trip to add Warren County to my maps. Later on in the day I was crawling around under a 19th century mill to find a cache. Quote Link to comment
+Bubbles&Bonkers
Going to all the interesting places it takes me! This weekend we went caching at a mostly abandoned state mental hospital that was built in the last 1800s. Enormous, amazing building. And one cache was in the remote cemetary. Wild! +Roman!
When you spend 3, 4, 5 hours hiking to a cache, get to the location and at first you can't find it, even if it's only a few minutes, the feeling you get when you do find it, it's just awesome. Quote Link to comment
+xMeowthx
Finding amazing new areas I wouldn't have given a second glance....but turn out to be some of the most interesting and beautiful places. Going out geocaching with friends....some of my favorite memories come from geocaching. It really helps us bond. :] Quote Link to comment

+Team Dennis
There are quite a few things so for me it is difficult to pinpoint one. I suppose going to places I'd never have otherwise gone is #1 on the list. Spending time with my wife and my dog is high on the list, too. The thrill of the hunt is up there. Getting outside is fun and good for me. Writing my online logs is enjoyable. Reading the logs of people who find my caches is fun. So there you go... Quote Link to comment
+springbok200
When you are within feet of GZ, the expectation! Especially if you are with a fellow geocacher and you want to get to it first. Not that I am competitive or anything I like logging them too, then seeing my stats change. Perhaps that is a little sad. Quote Link to comment
+luvvinbird
Nice logs, FTF's, seeing great parts of my city I otherwise would probably not have, bumping into fellow geocachers at GZ, caching with friends, clever hides, the forum, and anything geocaching, I enjoy it all. +Catydid
Creative caches that took time and effort on the CO's part--knowing that they wanted to make it a fun and memorable cache for us. Finding those difficult ones that take so much time and effort and then it seems like they should have been much easier. It is a real feeling of accomplishment. Quote Link to comment
+fluoro
Getting to know my city better. Enjoying other peoples creativity and humour. Being outside, wanting to climb the most horrendous hills just for one little box. Quote Link to comment
+AmphibianTrackers
I love filling up containers with SWAG. I feel like I am planning a party when I create my SWAG bags. Finding caches large enough to hold SWAG. Learning my way around in all the remote an beautiful locations in my area. Going with my friends who get as excited as I do at finding a beautiful location with a nice cache. Quote Link to comment
+CrackerFL
I love finding the places I've been driving past for years, but never stopped, only to discover they hold some amazing things. Quote Link to comment
+redwoodkestrel
I love a beautiful hike that leads me to a beautiful place AND a great geocache! I also love caches placed around my city (San Francisco) that take me to interesting places that I've never been before. And I do appreciate caches large enough to hold tradeable items... finding a TB or original geocoin is always exciting. Quote Link to comment
MisterEFQ
Getting away from other people on a nice trail w/ my girlfriend. Quote Link to comment
Andronicus
Recently I was driving to the trail head of a remote wilderness back country cache. I heard the traffic report from the city on the radio As rush hour picks up, there is a delay along... That was great. Thinking of how I was escaping from my normal life into the wilderness. (just wish I had had a bit more clean water, that is something that there is lots of in the city) Quote Link to comment
+jearsy
What's your favorite part? Finding my way to GZ for sure and the discovering of some interesting places along the way. I only keep up and find all the caches in my hometown area, otherwise, I am going another hike/walk/canoe etc to the next destination. Quote Link to comment

Just starting out, but already found places I know for a fact I never would have visited otherwise. This is the aspect that hooked the wife. (Asking if she'd like to go for a hike would certainly be met with looks of incredulous disdain. ) Quote Link to comment
+geodarts
Every once in a while I find a cache that reminds me why I started this game - one that takes me down a new trail or shows me something unique. Lately, my favorite part of caching has been the old virtuals and earthcaching. But a good letterbox or Wherigo are usually fun. Quote Link to comment

+Frank Broughton
Navigating to ground zero. I have to say for me this too is right up there with my favorite part of geocaching. The logs that I receive for the caches that I have hidden. I really enjoy this part too. That's it for me, discovering cool places that I never knew about. Indeed this sometimes is the single most rewarding at times. I also enjoy planning out where I want to go (planning for Bulgaria and Turkey now, have some potential caches charted out and maps created for my 60csx). I love playing around with my GSAK DB of the local caches in my area. I like seeing which ones have the most finds, the most logs - the best logs (I enjoy reading "old school cache" logs) etc. I like seeing which caches have not been found in a long time and go find them. I like following what others in my area are doing and "mess with them" with notes on caches they have found - not in a trouble making way {grin}, I hardly ever rush out for a FTF, seeing I am in the country not too many in my immediate area. I do not like finding caches that are near peoples homes or near business, where people may misinterpret what you are doing.... Yes, I enjoy many parts of geocaching! Quote Link to comment
+Dakotagraph
Finding out that there is something interesting about a place I've ignored for a long time. Also finding caches large enough for swag. I don't get the same satisified feeling with a micro. Quote Link to comment
