Ghengis Jon
Just curious. Any other cachers out there that seriously practice martial arts? I realize that these two obsessions, er hobbies, aren't really related in any way, but I get equal pleasure from both. Anyhoo, I practice Tang Soo Do of the Moo Duk Kwan variety. +Walts Hunting
Those skills should come in handy if you get into the FTF hunt. Quote Link to comment
+dagibbz
My husband is a teacher of ninjutsu, myself and 2 of our 4 daughters train as well. Quote Link to comment
+DragonsWest
Studied Tae Kwon Do for about 18 months, until the flying/jumping kicks revealed the limits of my right knee. Great for flexibility training, which comes in handy for some of the more difficult to get to caches. Quote Link to comment
+GeoGeeBee
I can shoot a 2" group at 25 yards with a handgun. I know that's not what most people think of when they hear "martial arts," but you really can't get more martial than that. Back in my SCA days, I was pretty good with a broadsword, too. +Team Dennis
My brother-in-law is a 4th degree blackbelt in Karate. He also owns and operates his own Karate school. He does not have his own Geocaching account (yet) but I've taken him out caching on numerous occasions in at least 4 states. Quote Link to comment
+The Flying Ks
I practice karate that is a combination of Army Rangers training, street fighting, jujitsu, aikido, weapons training, kempo, and more. Only a purple belt - but that took 4 years. Taking a break from it because the dojo I go to got somewhat imbalanced (mostly children, very few adults). Quote Link to comment
+NYPaddleCacher
Right now I'm practicing Bru Suk Chill. My favorite thing to do after a hard day of Geocaching. I have done a lot of training in the Bru Suk Chill discipline despite the fact that I lived in California for a long time where Wyt Wyn Sip was a lot more common. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
Tried my hand at the marital arts, but it didn't work out. I'm single now. Quote Link to comment
