Suggestion: City/State/Country Info on Lists

Can you add City/State/Country info to watch lists and travel-bug histories? I find it frustrating to review my watch list and I cannot remember which caches are in which cities. The cache names usually don't help because the owner gives it a name that is totally unrelated to its location.

I also find it frustrating to try to track the progress of a travel bug by reading the list of movements, but the list of movements rarely includes location - only the name of the cache; and again, the name of the cache isn't related to its location.

Not all caches are in a city and that could get confusing. The state and country would be great. On the travel bugs you can't determine the state other than looking up each cache site. In the log listing would be great.

Nearest city/town/area would be nice. It probably needs to be a user-entered field, so that, for instance, you could say (in the Chicago area), Jefferson Park (Chi), Busse Woods, Morraine StPk, instead of just the town name.

But would that mean much globally?

For my Photographer's Caches Gallery, I show the current location of the 11 caches (10 international and 1 in Chicago). I got a list of the coordinates for 1064 cities world-wide (much more in the US than anywhere else), and I have my off-line database find the nearest city. That's what's displayed in the "Near" column.

So, if this meager database programmer can do it, it shouldn't be too tough on a large scale SQL database.

However, how would it impact the load? Is it really that significant of a piece of data? Wouldn't state and country do just fine (stuff that is already stored on the cache page)?

State information has already been added to the watch list.
