IPHONE App 4.5.5

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to put this question, but has anyone had trouble with the 4.5.5 version of the Iphone app? I have a 3G iphone and have run the Geocaching app for some time now. I've upgraded to 4.5.5 and all of a sudden it accesses the network constantly, is veerrryyy slow and consumes my battery in around an hour.

Has anyone else seen this?

Hi, I have also just updated to latest version for iPhone 4 and now I can't access some of my saved caches I.e. Favourites and a few pocket query saved lists the app simply closes automatically...! Not a happy bunny :-(

I've got the same problem as 'bigbadash' ... cannot access any of my saved caches - the app (4.5.5 on iPhone 4) simply closes.

 

Any idea's ?

Reinstall the app. That worked for me.

Previously, we used a MIO and a Garmin gps and with both, a compass was needed because it took a while for the location to update and trees prevented the signal from getting through. The iPhone app is far more accurate and almost takes the fun out of finding the cache because it is so easy.

I haven't had the problems seen above. You probably know that you can buy an adapter for the 'cigarette lighter' that will allow you to plug in the iPhone so it will charge on the road.

There always seems to be issues when a new version comes out. Try reinstalling....it usually fixes the weird upgrade bugs for me.
