+jimwest
what do you think of groudspeak posting a frs frequency on geocaching.com so you may contact other cachers in the area. many cachers are now using rinos and frs radios while caching. Link to comment
+ClayJar
I don't have time to markwell this right now, so if somebody else could do it, I'd be grateful. Otherwise, I'll have to track down the threads this afternoon. (I can't remember what channel(s) we decided on.) Link to comment
+Dekaner
No need to Markwell, Jeremy has been kind enough to post the frequencies on the main Geocaching FAQ page. http://www.geocaching.com/faq.asp quote:Do you have an FRS channel to find out if other Geocachers are in the area? Yes. The community has decided on channel 2 as the primary and 12 as the alternate FRS (Family Radio Service) channel. FRS radios are longer distance walkie talkies, like the Motorola Talkabout. Note that there are no sub-channels in order to keep the system more compatable with different radios. - Dekaner of Team KKF2A Link to comment
iryshe
Fortunately the 120 scans channels as well (not sure about the 110). Jeremy Irish Groundspeak - The Language of Location Link to comment
