+MeerRescue
I can't be the only CO finding the 'missing' dates on the cache page logs mildly irritating MeerRescue Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
No, you're not. There's a thread or two about it in the Geocaching Topics forum, and there's a Feedback forum thread requesting that the cache pages be returned to their original state, sans avatars and the ridiculous "about xxx days ago" replacement of actual dates. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=280344 http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=280386 You can add your vote to the 4,500 already posted: http://feedback.geocaching.com/forums/75775-geocaching-com/suggestions/2170437-bring-log-date-back-please Quote Link to comment

+MeerRescue
....seems in this instance the number of 'votes' on the feedback has actually made Gs sit up and take note....seems they've agreed to reverse the update ... Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
The "new style" cache logs with avatars and weirdly imprecise dates bother me a lot more than the new <whisper> C word </whisper> creations. Hopefully they'll go back to "old style" very soon. MrsB Quote Link to comment
+Happy Humphrey
Hopefully they'll go back to "old style" very soon. "Today" is the promise. I wonder why they introduced this, when most cachers could have told them that it was a bad idea? Quote Link to comment
+Seganku
I found a cache yesterday with a work colleague. Just checked the log having read this thread and it says that I found it today and she found it yesterday - yet both logs were submitted yesterday I love the older logs stating that the cache was found "about 5 days ago" Quote Link to comment
+NattyBooshka
On a couple of trips "about 4 days ago" would have been as close as I could get. Of course I've grown up and so don't get that drunk these days. Ok... I've grown more alcohol tolerant, I've not grown up. Quote Link to comment
+Mister_Hyde
Today when I checked some logs, the dates were not shown at all. The first log was dated "About 28 days ago." The second was dated "About a month ago." You've got to be kidding. This is an improvement? Quote Link to comment

+drsolly
THE LOG DATES ARE BACK !!!!! There you are. An example of a really stupid idea, with no thought given to the consequences, implemented and then removed. One cheer for Groundspeak. Quote Link to comment

An example of a really stupid idea, with no thought given to the consequences, implemented and then removed. One cheer for Groundspeak. One cheer at the very most! The dates may be back but they still aren't as nice/clear/easily readable as they were before. The user specified date format is ignored. Mark Quote Link to comment

Jeremy either is envisioning a game experience and user interfaces that will attract a brand new untapped pool of members, or he has completely lost his mind. I know how I'm voting. Mark You can express your half-hearted delight at the half-hearted, semi-restored date here: Feedback forum: Bring log date back, please. MrsB Quote Link to comment
