More info in the original thread here if you like, plus post 43 has a great picture of it. I was lucky enough to have two of my colour attempts minted thanks to wenzelbub and his generosity in inviting forum users to participate, top bloke. Please email me your address dfx and I'll post it today. Quote Link to comment

+EdrickV
Wow. If I had half that many coins, then the cachers in my area would be finding coins more often then they would now. (I don't have any trackables yet.) Quote Link to comment

(I don't have any trackables yet.) Oh these babys are not for releasing, they would not last long enough for more than one or two people to enjoy them. TBs are for travelling and coins are "my precioussssss" Prizes have been posted, once confirmed that they have arrived I'll think up another give away from this pile. Cheers Quote Link to comment
+EdrickV
The way I see it, trackable Geocoins were made to travel just as much as Travel Bugs. That's why they're trackable. (They can also be easier to pass on since those I've seen are smaller then a TB and thus can go where TBs can't.) While I might keep one coin as a personal traveller, I would not want to collect hundreds of coins because I know they would just gather dust. I mean, what exactly do collectors actually do with the coins once they've collected them? Quote Link to comment

+mpilchfamily
Many geocoins are way to nice to be sent out into the real world. Especially when a good majority of them don't get past there 2nd or 3rd cache before disappearing into the abyss. But that doesn't mean they don't travel or don't get tracked. Some people will activate all there coins and take them to events. Showing off there collection to other cachers and allowing those cachers to discover the coins online. Others like myself may only activate 1 coin and use it as a mileage tracker. Having the coin visit every cache they find. Quote Link to comment
