+mielpeet
We have done a Wherigo in Eindhoven and got the unlock code after trying to get it many times. Now we tried to unlock this Wherigo but the code is wrong or at least this message appears on screen. What can we do to unlock this Wherigo? We also tried to upload the file but this doesn't work also. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Check to see if the unlock code is fifteen characters in length. If not, trim the last character off. Occasionally, there have been times when an incorrect unlock code is generated. Also, please be aware unlock codes only work for the person who downloaded the cartridge. For everyone else, they'll have to use option #3, which is to type the name of the user account (handle) who downloaded the cartridge, then put in the unlock code below that. As for the save file (make sure it's the GWS file), it may or may not work. It might not work either if the cartridge author did not include a command to mark the cartridge as complete--and instead just opted to display the unlock code--or the cartridge was not saved after it was marked complete. Thanks for solution! It worked. I had 16 characters in length. I now know what to do when I have the same problem. Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Glad to see that solved it. I'd love to know what the site it doing. You'd think the same code used to generate the characters in the unlock string would also be used to validate the input. Quote Link to comment

It would be a $5 hotfix for the site to try the 15-digit version as well as the 16-digit version of what the player uploads. Quote Link to comment
+alopix_
Had the same problem and the website generated an 18 digits long unlock code... Omitting the last 3 digits worked but Groundspeak should fix this problem soon Quote Link to comment
