+NorthWes Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Guano Rock Blvd... I am rolling on the floor laughing over that one! Only thing better would have been Guano Creek Parkway... Good pictures of the lair of the rivals... well done! Quote
monkeykat Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Thought this was going to be a picture of AZcachemeisters house, gave me a laugh when I saw the real location. Surprised this mark wasn't recovered monthly. Quote
foxtrot_xray Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Hah, great job. Yeah, I'm also surprised it wasn't logged once a month or so. (And, have a 'Not Found' in there somewhere..) Quote

Surprised this mark wasn't recovered monthly. Funny, but the real truth is a gut-buster! There ARE a few disks at my house, but you'll have to use the DESTROYED log type for them. Quote
Wintertime Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Like some other folks here, I was expecting to see a bazillion USPSQD recoveries for this one, so I was surprised to see only two, seven years apart. Maybe the folks in this particular branch aren't much into benchmark hunting. The two most recent recoveries were by NGS and the ACE. Quote
2oldfarts (the rockhounders) Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Their Headquarters Somehow we emerged unscathed and victorious. I have a question for you. Did you feel like you should be stealthy and almost 'undercover'? You were nervous? What do you think they might have said if they saw you and figured out just what you were up to? You do Geocache, so do you like the urban caches where you have to be stealthy and blend in? A great name for the street and a fun find. Thank you for sharing. Shirley~ -------------------- Quote

Shirley~ Hi Shirley, Actually, we were hoping we would meet some Power Squadroners. We have never actually spoken to anyone from the Power Squadron and it would have been nice have a chat with them about who they are and what they do. Like others, we were surprised there were not more USPSQD recoveries on this mark. I am still chuckling over the last sentence in foxtrot_xray’s comment. As far as being stealthy, Mrs. TillaMurphs and I did attempt to blend in. Here is a photo of us just before heading in to look for OA0651: Quote

+Harry Dolphin Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Glad it went well. I was afraid that we were going to have to raise ransom money! Quote
topflitejr1 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Thurston and Lovey Tillamurph... I love it! Any benchmark's on the "Isle"? Quote
