high tech hillbilly Posted November 29, 2002 Share Posted November 29, 2002 What do I need to do to create and plant a bug? I did find the Groundspeak store tonight online where tags are sold. Must all bugs have tags? We made and planted two bugs in caches today. While visiting our third cache, we actually found a bug and noticed it had a Groundspeak tag. Since our two bugs didn't have tags, is there anything we can do to track them? Is there a way to put a bug icon on the caches where we planted them today? high tech hillbilly Link to comment
+Markwell Posted November 29, 2002 Share Posted November 29, 2002 Travel Bugs with the Groundspeak tag will have their movements automatically tracked by the site (depending on whether the people log them correctly). However, it is not necessary for travelers to have the Groundspeak tag. It just takes more work on the part of the owner. Check out Scoob and Shag - who have been traveling now since June 23, 2001, and pre-dating the Travel Bug concept. There are others out there even longer. Markwell Chicago Geocaching Link to comment
