+VO2WW
I have 300+ waypoints in my 62st but when I try to upload them I get a message, "No waypoints found on device" Any idea why I get this and how do I fix it so I can upload my waypoints? Quote Link to comment
+michaelnel
Upload them via what method and to what? Where does the error message come from? What program are you using incorrectly? Quote Link to comment
+VO2WW
I hook the GPS up to my computer as I always did with other units, open Garmin Mapsource Maps, select the Receive from Device Icon and than I get the message mentioned above. Quote Link to comment
+michaelnel
When you plug the 62 in, I assume you are using the USB cable that came with it? Does the 62 show up as an additional drive letter when you plug it in? The computer has to recognize it before mapsource can. Edited July 22, 2011 by michaelnel Quote Link to comment
+michaelnel
Better yet, download and use Garmin's Basecamp program. Mapsource is outdated and doesn't always work correctly with some of the newer units. http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/us/onthetrail/basecamp Basecamp is what you need to really take advantage of the 62's advanced features such as paperless geocaching and the truly mediocre Garmin Birdseye stuff (satellite imagery you can display on your 62). I don't imagine much further dev work is going into mapsource, basecamp is the new one. Quote Link to comment
+HHL
[…] Mapsource Maps, select the Receive from Device Icon […] Use the »Open« command and select the waypoint gpx file from [unit]:/garmin/gpx. Happy Hunting Hans Quote Link to comment
Now at Zero Gravity
I has the same problem downloading archived tracks: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=277750 I'm using version 3.00. I may try to go back to 2.80 and see if the problem disappears. Seems something has changed recently. Edited July 24, 2011 by Now at Zero Gravity Quote Link to comment
