How does this Happen?

I have been doing my periodic review of my trackables. One, TB34ZTC, I marked as missing back on 05/01 after 8 months of inactivity. Can't remember if I had emailed the last known holder prior to marking it as missing. Anyway, on 05/17, the cacher logged that he would pass it on "today". I returned it to it's last known location so it would be in his inventory and emailed my thanks. No activity on TB since then. I was going to email him today but see that he last visited in Dec of 2010. My question, how could he log my TB on 05/17 without visiting the site?

Not sure, but I think it can happen when they log in from their phone. I recall someone commenting on that recently.

Yep, you can log via phone and it won't show that you logged into your profile.

Thanks for the answer. Maybe he dropped it before I put it back in his inventory. Or, who knows.....

Complex when you have marked as missing, grabbed, last location, logged from phone, but nothing that can't be corrected.

 

Personally I would stay away from the 'move to last location' option and just do re-logging and log deletions when needed.
