+Viridios
I have been trying to photograph my geocoins so as to make quality proxies (Not looking for a debate for or against proxies...) but have not had any luck getting the photos to be the same size as the actual coin. Any suggestions? I first tried using a scanner, but the printing quality is sub-par, so I decided photographs were the way to go. I then tried laying them out on a photograph so as to get the framing correct, but when I go to print them off using Walmart's website, I have to crop them, thus rendering all my work moot. Any suggestions? I have thought abut laying a ruler into the frame and taking a larger photo, then cropping it to the ruler's 4x6. Has anyone tried this? Any other suggestions? Quote Link to comment
+MoonCatKDT & Peanut
walmart does that with their online site, try either going in store or going to some other place to print your photos. Their website printing kind of sucks. Quote Link to comment
+Droo
Draw out a 4x6 in, area and divide it into 6 equal squares - these should measure 2x2in. Consider these your coin placeholders. Take a photo of the fronts and again the backs and crop the images to the edge of your rectangular area. Have 'em printed as 4x6s and voila', ready to be cut out with fronts and backs to be glued together. I suggest you light your coins for the pics from two sides to remove shadows and also minimizes your camera reflection in the highlights. Hope that helps. Quote Link to comment
+007BigD
That's a good idea! My only suggestion is sun light... I seem to get my best pics using sunlight. Whether direct or in the shade. Quote Link to comment

I take mine up to Kinko's..they have a color copier and it does a really nice job of copying them..I do both front & back and the fee is nominal to use the copier. Quote Link to comment
