Help with settings with iPhone 4 app.

Hello!!

 

I just downloaded the iphone app.

 

In the settings, in the Map section, what have you selected? Street: OpenStreetMap.org, Bing Street or Google Street? Satellite: Bing Satellite, Google Satellite or Google Hybrid?

 

What works best in Québec, Canada?

They are all about the same. I stick with Google Hybrid so i get both sat views and full street maps overlaid on the sat image.

I usually flip back and forth between Google street map and Google sattelite. The street maps are smaller, so they load faster. The sattelite maps have more detail about things like trails and creeks.

I haven't tried them in Quebec, but they do work just fine in Ontario.

Another Ontario opinion here. I tend to use Google Hybrid view within 200M of the cache, and I tend to peek at it after I have parked. For heading to parking I'm on Google Street map or Opencyclemap if looking for a trail. If the network coverage is poor I use Google Street Map as the lowest bandwidth hit.
