+MontyFam
Since joining this game/hobby/obsession I have learned a plethora of new acronyms but this is the first time I have seen this one and I'm stumped. My only guess is Quick Easy Find. Can anyone validate that? I know I've only been caching for a year and a half with 550ish finds but I have probably read at least 2,500 logs and have never seen this one before. It apeared on one of our caches twice in the same day by 2 different cachers... Is there a list of all of the geo-acronyms floating around? Quote Link to comment
+MontyFam
Ahh probably more like 5,000-7,500 logs read FWIW... Quote Link to comment
knowschad
Looks like a QEA to me. "Quick, Easy Find". Quote Link to comment

+dorqie
In my area QEF is quite common, and yes, it does stand for Quick Easy Find. I pondered over PAF for the longest time when someone logged that on one of my caches. Turned out to mean Phone A Friend. Quote Link to comment

+wimseyguy
You also need to bookmark geolex. Do we really need two threads on this today? Quote Link to comment

Mr.Yuck
You also need to bookmark geolex. Do we really need two threads on this today? Ruh-Roh, no "QEF" there. Nothing with a Q at all, as a matter of fact. And from this thread I'm told it's used Central Ontario, The UK, and California? I for one have seriously never heard this before today. And although I've never seen or heard of anyone using it, yes, I would have figured it out pretty quickly. Quote Link to comment
7rxc
Acronyms give me a headache. Even when I know them for sure. So it will be Tylenol XS for me. q.i.d should be enough! Doug 7rxc Quote Link to comment
+DanOCan
Timely topic as I stumbled across QEF for the first time while on vacation on Vancouver Island a couple weeks ago. I had never seen it used before. I figured out via its context that it was "quick easy find" but it had struck me as a regional thing. I guess it is regional, just in more regions than I thought! +EdrickV
GeoLex also doesn't have SQ either. (Spirit Quest, which in a cache name indicates a cache in a cemetery and is used in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and who knows where else.) Quote Link to comment

AZcachemeister
Just be sure you don't put an extra 'E' in there. Quote Link to comment

+redsox_mark
I've seen it used in the UK... though I thought the E stood for "efficient". Still, means the same thing. Quote Link to comment

+Mr. Wilson & a Mt. Goat
Must be a Vancouver Island thing. See it over here a lot. I happen to know the cacher who used it and even went to school with him. He's from the same town as me, on Vancouver Island may I add. Edited July 15, 2011 by Mr. Wilson & a Mt.
