+DK_Titan
Hi there, We are in the process of publishing our first Earthcache, which will be placed on BLM public lands in California. The reviewer has requested, that we get permission for the placement and after reading the BLM Guidelines for Geocaching on public lands we don't expect this to be a big problem. What is a big problem, however, is to get in touch with BLM. Their web pages seem to be out of order, and every time we try to submit the Contact form, we get an error message. If any of you would happen to know an email address, we can use instead, we would very much appreciate your help. (You can for example send us an email through our profile on gc.com). Many thanks in advance! DK_Titan Edited July 6, 2011 by DK_Titan Quote Link to comment
+DK_Titan
Which district? It's in Alabama Hills, so I believe it is under the Bishop Field Office. Thanks, Ulf / DK_Titan Quote Link to comment

+GeoawareGSA1
The website here has a phone number: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/bishop.html Phone: (760) 872-5000 TerryDad2's response makes this a moot point (great info, Terry!), but I find that a quick phone call can often be more effective than an e-mail, as individual e-mail messages are easy to lose in the shuffle of federal business and a chain of forwards. That said, thank you very much for contacting BLM and getting permission, which as you indicated, will probably not be an issue. Best wishes, and if you run into troubles, feel free to contact me. --geoawareHQ Quote Link to comment
+DK_Titan
I would like to once again thank you for the help. I sent an email to Shelley Ellis, and already a few hours later I got her permission to place the cache. Ulf / DK_Titan Quote Link to comment
