Favorite GPS Case

Just for fun and to see what everyone else uses. When I have my GPS in my purse I have it in an ipod sock. In the saddle I use a hard case like the one shown bellow. That way if the horse falls or gets too close too a tree the gps will be protected better than if it was in a soft case. This case allows me to attach right to the saddle too so I don't have my gps around my neck, which is a bad idea when riding because lanyards and saddle horns don't mix.

I carry mine in a belt holster.......just like you do your 6 shooter.

I know this post is months old, but I'm looking for something like this, do you know if it will accomodate the GPS'r with the carabiner attached or does it need to be off?

I just received my Ram-Mount GizzMoVest Case for my Montana 650T. This thing is awesome. Great protection while on the atv and while hiking. It has access to all the plugs and the camera lens. Very well made and attractive. Great company to deal with. Highly recommend.

No case at all. My eTrex 30 is carried in hand or clipped on my pack or belt loop via a carabiner.

I use the Garmin Etrex case for my 30,I can change the clip at the back without removing it from the case, and the little joy stick is protected.

We like the soft canvas belt holsters made by Garmin and Magellan......every handheld I've ever used including the Montana fits in these.

I own a Garmin Montana 600 and bought the GizzMoVest and it fits like a glove PLUS it adds floatation to the unit. I just ordered my husband a Montana 600 and second thing I did was order him the GizzMovest to protect it.

My oregon has gone nude for the last 3 years and is doing fine. These things are designed to take a serious beating with no problems, and mine has endured being dropped countless times, left on the top of the car and driven off (with subsequent return trip to find), getting soaked in water and mud, and bees and spiders and it still looks almost like new. Not even a screen protector.
