File conversion

I have the mapsource program installed on my computer. I did my first query and downloaded some cache files in .loc format. My mapsource program does not recognize the .loc file extention and will not open these files. Is there an app or program that will convert the .loc files to .gdb files so my mapsource can recognize them? Thank you for your help. :-) The Hemlock Seekers

Go to GPS Visualizer Conversion Page. Select Geocaching.com .loc File for the input and Garmin Mapsourse - gdb as the output. Click on the browse button, select your file, and then click on convert the file. The site will convert the file for you.

Another program that will convert pretty much anything to pretty much anything as far as GPS Formats, without uploading to a website first is GPS Babel.

 

Keith's suggestion is prolly the easiest method for your needs though.

Rather then run it through one program so you can see it on another why not use one program that can handle the format already? Check out EasyGPS. It will allow you to view, edit, manage, and transfer the cache to your unit. Another good app is GSAK which has a free trial.
