+Mekle
Nepokama and I have been talking for a while about doing a suncatcher geocoin, and as we were playing around with ideas for a Rose coin, this design came together. For this coin, we drew inspiriation not just from both of our gardens, but the stained glass windows often found in Gothic Architecture to create something that could remind us year-round of our gardens in spring. Sun Rose Front - Red: Sun Rose Back - White: You can find all 4 colors (Red, Pink, White and Yellow) available for reservation on CacheAddict here. This coin is trackable on Geocaching.com Quote Link to comment
+NepoKama
There is a neat feature on this coin we've not seen on the suncatchers we have in our collections. The "stained glass" section of the coin has a thin layer of epoxy over both sides. We're thinking this will improve the durability of the coins. This angled shot of the Pink rose shows it a little, but it's hard to capture in photos. Quote Link to comment
+anne.and.eli
That's a really neat effect. Also, I love the way these turned out! Quote Link to comment
